Lifetronics successfully executed the repair and upgrade of a 20 kVA Online UPS system that had arrived in a severely damaged and burnt condition. The customer’s existing system had suffered major internal failure, and purchasing a completely new UPS was not financially practical for them at that time.

Instead of forcing a costly replacement, Lifetronics provided a more practical and cost-effective solution. After detailed technical evaluation, we proposed an upgrade-based restoration approach, allowing the customer to retain the usable core section of the system while replacing the failed electronics with a more reliable configuration.

In this project, the existing isolation section was retained after proper rectification, while the major electronic control and power sections were rebuilt using Lifetronics-designed UPS cards, upgraded components, fresh internal wiring, and proper ferrule-based terminations. This approach gave the customer a technically improved and commercially viable solution without the burden of full new-system replacement cost.

The complete job was executed within 2 days, including repair, upgrade, testing, and readiness for installation. After successful testing, the UPS was installed at the customer site and commissioned for dependable operation.

This project reflects Lifetronics’ strength in handling cases where conventional repair is not enough and complete replacement is not affordable. By combining technical diagnosis, in-house design capability, and practical execution, we were able to convert a heavily damaged machine into a functional and usable power backup system once again.

The restored system was delivered with a 6-month warranty, giving the customer added confidence in performance and support.
